Alternative to fossil fuel
Alternatives to fossil fuels are being discovered all the time. Fossil fuels are the types of fuels that have been created by the earth, such as coal, and oil. Coal and oil are compressed plants, gasses and soils that over hundreds of years create the fossil fuels. A fossil fuel is not something that can be recreated by man, but that will only be recreated in the natural process, in the natural setting of the earth. Fossil fuels do require hundreds of years to be ‘made’ by the earth, and with our constant use of fossil fuels, we will run out before the earth can replenish and make new replacements fossil fuels. We are using the resources of the earth faster than the earth can replenish and make more.
The worlds rapidly using the reserves and the natural resources that have been provided to us. For the future, we have to look to alternatives to fossil fuels for cleaner living and for continued heat, and ability to run the machines we use in our lives. Biodiesel is one alternative that is a renewable source of fuel that is an appropriate substitute for diesel. Across the UK and Europe many people are already using and accepting the use of biodiesel and are relying on the need of natural resources such as the fossil fuels.
Biodiesel is going to reduce the need for relying on fossil fuels such as diesel. You can find biodiesel is being produced from sunflowers, canola seeds, from soybeans, and from rapeseed. Biodiesel is also being made from materials such as animal fats and from recycled cooking oils. These are all non-toxic, and they are biodegradable products that are also sulfur free. Fossil fuels have a high instance of sulfur, which adds to the pollution of the earth. Biodiesel is going to release up to eight percent less sulfurs and pollutants than other types of fuels that are already in use around the world.
With the increased use of sunflowers a new market is being created for farmers and for manufactures who are involved in the process of making biodiesel. The growth in the farming industry is growing because of the turning point back to natural processes and the resources that are readily available to us.
In turning to waste oils, oils that are produced by restaurants, and the leftovers from cooking, we are learning to recycle those products that used to end up in dumps and in landfills. Recycling is going to become a very important part of the future; not only for heating our homes and businesses but also for running vehicles and saving the land that we want to live on for the future. Without conserving the land, we are going to run out of resources that the earth provides to us. The chemical processes of turning sunflower seeds to the oil needed to create biodiesel is one that has been achieved, and is a very viable source of alternative diesel fuel, and an alternative for fossil fuels for the future. Imagine heating your home with sunflower or soybeans!
